Washington County Beekeeping School will be March 24, 2018


The Washington County Beekeeping School will be held March 24, 2018 from 8:00 – 4:00 ET
8:00 am – 4 pm, at the Washington County Extension Office in Springfield, KY. The cost is $30 and includes lunch, reference materials and handouts. Onsite registration will be available.

The program includes both a basic and an intermediate track. A draft program can be found below.

12:30 – 1:30 (B) Basic Hive Management / (I) Catching and installing Swarms

1:45 – 2:45 (B) Planting Pollinator Friendly / (I) Extracting/Bottling Honey; Pollen

3:00 – 4:00 (B) Honey Bee Pests and Diseases / (I) Panel Discussion

**KSU Beehive Autoclave (sterilizes brood boxes, supers and frames) will be operating from 10:00-4:00
