KSBA’s officers consist of a historian, sergeant-at-arms, secretary, treasurer, vice-president, president-elect, president, and immediate past-president. All KSBA officers serve for a term of one year. At the end of the vice-president’s term, that person will become the new president-elect. The president-elect will then become the new president and the former president will become the immediate past-president.
Officer nominations are accepted each fall for the positions of historian, sergeant-at-arms, secretary, treasurer, and vice-president. Nominees should be Kentucky beekeepers who are devoted to beekeeping, helping others learn about beekeeping, and volunteering their services to KSBA. KSBA members in good-standing are encouraged to nominate people they know who meet those criteria.
The KSBA Executive Committee will review the nominations and vote on the new officers at the fall KSBA executive meeting. The KSBA Executive Committee consists of the KSBA officers and a delegate from each of the local associations. The new officers will be announced at the KSBA fall meeting.
Please watch the news posts for this year’s call for officer nominations. The call for nominations will include what information will need to be submitted about the nominee and where the nomination should be sent.
