KSBA will meet on Nov. 5, 2016 at Jenny Wiley State Park. Registration will start at 8:00 ET and the meeting will start at 9:00 ET. All members are encouraged to attend.
Scheduled speakers are:
- Gabe Blatt, West Virginia queen producer, will speak about preparing yards for queen production.
- Dan O’Hanlon will discuss West Virginia’s Bee Immunity law.
- Lindsey New, Pulaski County’s Farm Service Agency agent, will speak on USDA programs.
- Tammy Horn Potter, Kentucky State Apiarist, will discuss USDA-APHIS honey bee health surveys from the 2016 spring sample collection.
Other activities at the meeting will include election of new officers, the final Kentucky Pollinator Protection Plan presentation, and an update on the Kentucky Honey Bee Queen Breeders Association.
The KSBA executive board will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 4, 2016. All affiliated organizations are encouraged to send a representative to the board meeting.
