Research Assistant position open

A full time position as Research Assistant is now open at Kentucky State University.  This will be for the study of diseases and mites affecting honey bees, with a goal of developing improved treatment and diagnosis methods.  Duties include microscope work, preparation of samples for genetic analyses, and preparation of routine and experimental beekeeping equipment. Requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in a biological science, experience in laboratory work, and the ability to work carefully and independently.  Beekeeping experience, or a desire to learn beekeeping, is highly desirable.
